Overview
The Geomap feedback resolution system is a back-office panel that collects user feedback on maps. I redesigned it and integrated it into the Core B2B panel.
Cartographers review the feedback users submit, then either resolve it by adding the change to the map, or decline it. The project aimed to streamline this process, cutting the time and effort needed both to resolve feedback and to build new features. A new technology stack improved performance, accuracy and cartographer satisfaction.
Problem
Geomap already had a back-office panel, but interviews with cartographers showed it was overly complex and inefficient. They spent too much time finding their way around it, which cut their productivity.
Maintaining the panel and building new features also took significant effort. That led us to redesign it with Bootstrap, simplifying both the interface and feature development.
Features
Dashboard
- An overview of panel activity and key metrics, so cartographers can monitor performance and data insights.
Feedbacks
- Collects feedback users submit on maps. Cartographers review it, then resolve it onto the map or decline it.
Categories
- Organizes feedback into categories so different types of map corrections are easier to prioritize and manage. New categories can be added here.
Blacklist
- Lets cartographers blacklist users or feedback that is irrelevant or abusive, keeping the data quality high.
Process
Based on user feedback, we built wireframes to optimize workflows and usability. The final UI was built with Bootstrap, focused on efficiency for cartographers and ease of feature development for engineers.
The redesign made navigation much simpler for cartographers and reduced the maintenance burden for developers.

Outcome
Geomap is now part of the Core panel, and the improvements were:
- Resolution time: significantly reduced through streamlined workflows.
- Cartographer satisfaction: up, thanks to easier navigation and faster feedback processing.
- Feature delivery: faster, because the architecture is simpler and more automated.
